1. Overview

JadePDF is designed with privacy as a core architectural principle. This policy explains what data we collect, how we process it, and what we don't do with your files.

2. Browser-only tools (80%)

For the majority of our tools, your PDF files never leave your browser. Processing happens entirely on your device using WebAssembly libraries. You can verify this by:

Opening Chrome DevTools → Network tab
Processing any browser-only tool
Observing zero network requests during processing

We cannot access, log, or store files that never reach our servers.

3. Server-required tools (20%)

Some operations (Word→PDF, high-quality OCR) require software that doesn't run in browsers. When server processing is necessary:

Files are transmitted via TLS 1.3 encryption
Stored encrypted (AES-256) in temporary Cloudflare R2 storage
Automatically deleted after 60 seconds
No content logging — only request metadata (timestamp, size, success/fail)
No AI training on your files
No data sharing with third parties

4. What we don't collect

PDF contents from browser-only tools
File contents from server tools (only metadata)
Personal information (no signup required)
Payment information (handled by Stripe)
Browsing history

5. Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool. It collects only aggregated, anonymous data: page views, referrers, countries. No personal data, no cookies, no cross-site tracking.

6. Cookies

JadePDF uses only essential cookies for functionality (language preference, dark mode). No tracking cookies, no third-party cookies.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and LFPDPPP (Mexico), you have the right to:

Know what data we have about you
Request deletion of your data
Export your data
Opt out of analytics

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be announced on our blog and changelog. The current version is always available at jadepdf.com/privacy.
